ORG 75 Membrane Clean MC Acid Cleaner
Rapid mineral scale removal acid based cleaners for membrane systems.
ORG 75 Membrane Clean MC Acid Cleaner - a highly acidic liquid cleaner developed for effective cleaning of reverse osmosis (RO), nanofiltration (NF), ultrafiltration (UF), and microfiltration (MF) membrane systems that are acid-tolerant.
Its formulation is designed to dissolve inorganic scales, metallic hydroxides, and other acid-soluble foulants, restoring membrane performance and extending membrane life.
Key Areas of Application of Membrane Cleaning Acidic Cleaners
- Cleaning of acid-tolerant RO, NF, UF, and MF membranes.
- Removal of calcium carbonate, barium sulfate, strontium sulfate, and iron hydroxide scales.
- Preventive maintenance to minimize pressure drop and restore normalized flow.
- Suitable for use in industrial, municipal, and desalination plants.
Usage Guide of Acidic Membrane Cleaner 75
- Use RO permeate or deionized water for dilution.
- Recommended working concentration: *0.3% - 0.5% v/v (≈ 3 L of RXSOL ORG 75 Membrane Cleaner in 1000 L of water).
- Flush the membrane system with RO permeate or DI water to remove feedwater.
- Isolate the system and drain as required.
- Prepare the cleaning solution in the CIP (Cleaning-in-Place) tank at * 0.3% v/v.
- Mix gently until homogeneous.
- Circulate the solution through the membrane system for 30–60 minutes.
- Maintain flow rates recommended by the membrane manufacturer.
- Keep temperature below 35 °C (95 °F) for safe cleaning.
- Stop circulation and allow the membranes to soak for 1–2 hours.
- Restart circulation for an additional 15–20 minutes.
- Thoroughly flush the system with RO permeate or DI water until the rinse water pH is close to feedwater level.
- Resume normal operation only after confirming system stabilization.
- Normalized flow decreases by 10–15%, or
- Differential pressure increases by 15–20%.
- Do not exceed recommended dosage unless advised.
- Always check membrane manufacturer’s chemical tolerance guidelines (pH, temperature, compatibility).
- Dispose of spent solution in compliance with local environmental regulations.
*NOTE: Dosage entirely depends on the system condition and heaviness of scale deposit
- Highly Effective Cleaning – Rapidly dissolves inorganic scales, carbonate deposits, and metallic hydroxides to restore membrane performance.
- Low Dosage Requirement (0.3%) – Achieves excellent results at very low concentrations, reducing chemical consumption and cost.
- Membrane Compatible – Safe for use with acid-tolerant RO, NF, UF, and MF membranes within OEM-recommended pH ranges.
- Extended Membrane Life – Prevents irreversible fouling, minimizing the need for premature membrane replacement.
- Operational Efficiency – Restores normalized flow and reduces pressure drop, improving overall system productivity.
- Versatile Use – Effective in industrial, municipal, food & beverage, and desalination applications.
- Environmentally Safer Option – Non-flammable formulation, easy to handle and store compared to stronger mineral acids.
