HABA dye (4'-hydroxyazobenzene-2-carboxylic acid) is a reagent that enables quick estimation of the mole-to-mole ratio of biotin to protein in a solution. ... The change in absorbance relates to the amount of biotin in the sample by the extinction coefficient of the HABA-avidin complex.
Product Application:
Polysulfated carbohydrates such as heparin (HP) and heparan sulfate (HS) are not easily amenable to usual ultraviolet matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization-mass spectrometry (UV-MALDI)-MS analysis due to the thermal lability of their O- and N-SO3 moieties, and their poor ionization efficiency with common crystalline matrices.
