Copper Slag
Copper Slag supplier and exporter in India - Oman and UAE GULF.
We have Copper Slag in various particle size . Based on application of Copper Slag and cleanliness level copper slag can be classified as (Sa 2, 2.5, 3) and anchor profile (40 – 120 microns).
Copper Slag most commonly used as abrasives for surface preparation prior to painting in fabrication, ship yards & projects.
BLASSTING and CLEANING procedure :
Nozzle size:5/6 – 1/2 inch
Air / Grit mixtureThe grit valve is to be set at a lean feed. Too much grit in the air flow results in low production and less profile. Start with the grit valve closed, open gently until you get the proper effect and leave it there. The grit coming out of the nozzle should look like a blue haze and not like a black cloud.
Distance to surface:Optimum distance between nozzle and surface is around 30cm (12 inch).
Angle of Nozzle direction : Avoid blasting perpendicular (90 degrees) to the surface. An angle of 75-80 degrees gives the best performance
Nozzle pressure:Air Pressure at the nozzle should be between 80 and 100 psi, the closer to 100 psi, the better the performance.
Remember, to achieve high nozzle pressure:
Nozzle size to be in relation to the capacity of the compressor (see diagram) Note that at continuous working the compressor should not run at more than 5% of the capacity.
The air hose between compressor and blasting unit to be of as large diameter as possible and as short as possible.
We have copper slag in six grades from Turbo+ to HD+ with different particle size. The user has the option to choose the appropriate grade based on the cleanliness level (SA2, 2½ & 3) and anchor profile (40-120 microns) requirements.
Copper slag is most commonly used as blasting agent in heavy industries, shipyards, oil & gas companies, paint manufacturers, coating contractors, tank builders, pressure vessel fabricators, off shore yards, construction chemical manufacturers and all major industries.
Copper Slag uses:
In addition to abrasives, copper slag is also used for making abrasive tools, roofing granules, cutting tools, tiles, glass, road-base construction, railroad ballast, asphalt pavements & in the cement and concrete industries. Copper slag partially replaces aggregates in concrete, currently, more than 75% volume of concrete contains aggregates. The use of copper slag in cement and concrete provides potential environmental as well as economic benefits for all related industries.
