Methonal is the only methyl group which belongs to hydroxyl group. It smells similar to ethanol which is used for making alcohol but slightly sweeter. It is mostly used for industrial and automotive purpose The atmosphere contains a small amount of methanol vapor and the atmospheric methanol is oxidized by sunlight to produce carbon dioxide and water. Methanol is primarily used in making other chemicals. Firstly it is converted into formaldehyde, and then diversed into making products such as plastics, plywoods, paints, explosives and permanent press textiles.

We should avoid SEAWATER during Ship Hold Cleaning with Aquatuff. The hardness of the seawater reduces the foaming qualities of AQUATUFF and any other detergent. As per the chemical law and detergency sea water reduces the cleaning effect of the material. It increases the corrosion risk to the metal surface and the equipments used in it.
