TYRAMINE HYDROCHLORIDE FOR SYNTHESIS
Tyramine hydrochloride has been: coinfused with adenosine in control subjects and patients in order to reduce leg blood flow by 50% without affecting arterial blood pressure. labelled with fluorescence dyes (Atto 488 and Atto 655) to serve as a substrate for peroxidase in immunofluorescence analysis.Chemists synthesize chemical compounds that occur in nature in order to gain a better understanding of their structures. Synthesis also enables chemists to produce compounds that do not form naturally for research purposes. In industry, synthesis is used to make products in large quantity.
A flowing future! A multistep, general flow chemistry protocol has been developed for the preparation of tyramine-based natural products. The process integrates room-temperature reactions with high-temperature Heck coupling reactions, where the heat has been supplied by microwave irradiation. As a proof of concept for ‘scaling out’ to attain larger quantities of the desired products, the four primary tyramine-based natural products were prepared on a gram scale using this synthetic protocol.
