Application

Most commonly Sodium Benzoate used as  antifungal food preservative. Sodium Benzoate prevent the growth of bacteria, yeast, or other nasty microorganisms that could spoil food.
Sodium benzoate also commonly used as a preservative in cosmetics and personal care items, such as hair products, baby wipes, toothpaste, and mouthwash .
It also has industrial uses. One of its biggest applications is to deter corrosion, such as in coolants for car engines.
What’s more, it may be used as a stabilizer in photo processing and to improve the strength of some types of plastic .

Technical Specification

Sodium Benzoate aqueous solution is alkaline in nature with pH value 8 approximate.  Sodium benzoate is combined with water, benzoic acid is produced. Benzoic acid is the active form of the preservative—the form that protects foods. Benzoic acid is also found naturally in some fruits, such as cranberries, plums, and apples.
