The required dosage depends strongly on the type and concentration of foaming agents, process temperature, agitation and contamination level.
Initial recommended dosage
10-100 ppm
for routine foam prevention.
Moderate foam
50-250 ppm
Severe / persistent foam
100-500 ppm
Shock treatment
250-1,000 ppm
For exceptionally severe foam conditions, higher concentrations may be required during initial treatment, followed by a lower maintenance dose.
Recommended practice: Start at the lowest effective dosage and increase progressively.
